silent auction

Sounds official, a post title like that, no? Here's the deal: I have five mixed media on black archival paper drawings, a little on the vintage side (between one and five years old), that need homes. You make me an offer and the first acceptable one takes it. Bear in mind that I can be a bit of a pushover but I have my limits. I will ship the smaller ones in padded mailers, wrapped in Crystal Clear Bags with board backing. The two larger ones will be shipped in hard, flat packages and will be well wrapped. Each comes with a super-duper, professional-looking framing solution of the IKEA variety. That means I tell you what frame works and supply you with acid-free mat tape, and you go shopping!

PROMISED LAND ~14" x 14" (image size 10.25" x 10.25") mixed drawing media on black Strathmore paper. Frames up to 20.5" x 20.5". The image is Lindeman Lake in southwest British Columbia during the autumn.

BLACK-BILLED MAGPIE ~ 15" x 15" (image size 10.25" x 10.25") mixed drawing media on black Rising Stonehenge paper (deckle edge retained). Frames up to 20.5" x 20.5".

WATER'S EDGE ~ 9" x 12" (image size 7.25" x 9.25") coloured pencil on black Strathmore paper. Frames up to 13" x 17". I drew this en plein air, on Cowichan Lake on Vancouver Island, on a July day.

BLEAK MIDWINTER ~ 9" x 12" (image size 7.25" x 9.25") mixed drawing media on black Strathmore paper. Frames up to 13" x 17". This is a drawing that I didn't really like when I finished it. But like certain kinds of music that are difficult to understand at first but become favourites on repeat listenings, I have come to like this one so much that I hesitate to part with it.

FEED ~ 12" x 9" (image size 8.25" x 6.25") mixed drawing media on black Strathmore paper. Frames up to 17" x 13". You can see it in a frame here. This is the very last of a series of earth drawings and paintings I did a few years back.

Please email me if you have questions -- and especially if you have bids! This has been a year designed to test my resolve in all kinds of ways so I'm trying my bestest to come up with creative solutions to stay afloat.
