Tribute to the Forest 30" x 24" oil on wood panel |
This hasn't exactly been my most productive year, but I continue to produce a little at a time. Right now I'm working on pieces for a couple more fundraisers, then I need to dig in and get serious, i.e. explore new ideas and start working in series again. I'm liking how this painting turned out and have ideas for quite different paintings and drawings. Only working steadily will tell me which direction to go in.

Another one I'd like to have.sigh...14
I'm really liking the insets you've done on some of the ones I've seen lately, like this one. Sometimes a person needs to just dig in to get immersed again in order to find their direction -- I know that so well. Looking forward to seeing more.
Thank you, Dianes! Balancing all the elements I want to bring into a painting can be tricky :: not too much, not too little!
i'd know your work anywhere. this one has depth and shapes and i can almost hear sound :^)

This one is pure magic. It's a great combination of hope and power.
Fabulous! Magic is a good word for it.
I agree with all those above. I LOVE this piece. It's a marvel.
Thanks again, peeps. I just painted the sides black today, actually, so it's ready to find a new life somewhere.
You consistently dazzle me my wonderfully talented friend. You should be a millionaire with your art.
