flight and feather 1

I am participating in a two-person exhibition with Sheila Davis, starting Labour Day weekend, at Effusion Art Gallery. It's a great idea for a show. Entitled Two From One, the idea is to do four large pieces and then four small ones 'with a twist', based on the larger ones. In typical backward fashion (like the way I paint and draw) I have done four small drawings and am just starting the large ones based on the small ones! This is the first pair. The rest will be raptors.

i want to mention, i almost passed out when this went through... this time like month after month it will not let me post through google! Your blog and a few others i have found refuse me and i end up inputting the into over and over in a circle until i want to scream! i don't get it? also unclear on why just now after the 20th time in at least 20 minutes it finally went through! sorry! i would be here all the time if it would only accept my comments :(

Yay Val! (and yay to Di, Paula and Peras as well for commenting!) I had to take a FB recess for reasons of self-discipline but I'm back again. Gulp. :)

I love your work, it is so inspiring to me as an artist! Since birds carry your soul to the creator, I used them in my memorial portrait of my sister. I thought of you while I worked on it. It gave me great peace. I adore this new work and look forward to seeing it.

As far as FB, I try to only do internet stuff twice a day now or no more than an hour a day! But, when I can't sleep at night, I find it better than TV...lol!

Indigene: I love that you're using the bird imagery to commemorate your sister! And I also commend you only checking in twice a day. I'm not that disciplined so have decided to take regular two or three day facebook 'disconnects' from now on. All or nothing for me! (And thank you you for your always amazing support.)

Hi Kesha. Thanks for dropping by. (Website revamp stalled by buggy software -- argh!)
