6" x 6" oil on panel
I have deadlines to meet, one for a two-part painting commission and the other for a bunch of drawings for the upcoming summer season at my gallery in Invermere (a very popular summer destination for Calgarians), so I will be visiting the blog world only sporadically for a few weeks. I will post any images of artwork worth posting, though.
Happy spring!

oh, I LOVE this! Just bursting w/ energy.
And I love that you hint at what's below the ground, also. I draw trees a lot (badly, but obsessively) and am always working on the below ground, trying to figure how to show this.
You do it so beautifully!
Thanks, peeps! Paula -- I think it was a reaction to the monochromatic, tightly-controlled stuff I've been working on lately. And Hayden: I used to do a lot of that sort of thing, i.e. layered art that was as much (or more) about what was hidden as what you see. For example: http://www.flickr.com/photos/didrooglie/2452679464/in/photostream
