shooting the breeze 3

I wasn't going to post this after such minor progress but since it took me eight hours of failure plus five hours of (guarded) success to paint the grass I had to show something! Hard to believe it took five hours, but it was a total learning curve every step of the way. I had to throw everything I knew about painting grass out the window. I'm even more intimidated by the next stage so stay tuned for more angst!

I love that you can see that. I *really* want to put dialogue balloons over their heads but must control myself...

Given the last trauma post - huge progress! The grass looks great, I love the sense of breeze blowing in it...

I can completely see how it would take that long. It looks really involved. I love that the entire picture has this movement and feeling of wind. Nice!

Very nice. I love it when you show us the process! The grass looks awesome! My cousin has that kind of horse.

ooh I feel your pain ;) Even though it it not what you intended I think you have totally succeeded, it looks amazing! The flow of the field in the background against the blowing grass is really lovely too :)

Hmm, I think the dialogue balloons over their heads might be a little much ;)

It IS beautiful. The dark blue and the golden whatever are about as far as you could get from the comforts of home but in a way ARE so close to the home you have now.
